Hello guys,

This is what I shot in my first wedding in 2012.

For the Sydneysiders, I am sure you all know that we are having the wettest summer (a.k.a the nastiest summer ) since 1998. That day we have to face that uncertainty with the weather. Yes, we started our day with cloudy weather, then the rain came on and off until night. Thanks to our couple for being cooperative (and remain calm!) during the location shoot, we finally nailed it and delivered outstanding results!

Burhan and Asih were bumped into each other at church and been dating for the past 1.5 years. According to the best man speech, Burhan is type of sweet and hardworking guy that you can always depend on, and you can always count on him to be there for. He is the type of guy who never say bad about other people. I could not agree more. Asih is very loving girl who really understanding and care for Burhan. After knowing Asih for a little longer, you will start to see the fun side of her.

That’s it from me for now, preparing myself for sunny and bright Easter break! Congratulation once again guys. May your days ahead be filled with magic.

Hello guys – This weekend I had a chance to shoot the wedding of Jack and Carol (under the rain… yes, again).

Jack and Carol are a perfect fit. They have fairly similar values and work well together when it comes to the differences. Jack is the practical, punctual, level-headed one who likes to take it easy. Jack is into cars, he drives a Mitsubishi Evo like the one in the Fast and Furious movie. He also loves new gadgets. Dude, this is so me; I love cars and new gadgets too hehe On the other hands, Carol always rushing around and like to pack as much as possible into any given day (including holidays!). She is an outdoor person and not into this thing called technology (this is sooo contradict with Jack).

Talking about their wedding, the day was started with heavy rain and kept continue throughout the day. For me the real highlight was on the games that Jack and the boys required to go through to pick up Carol. I really really love this part. Even when I flick the collection of the photos, I still laugh of loud! Not to mention when we asked Jack and Carol to kiss real passionately under the rain in the middle of crowd in Opera House. Yes, we want those kisses like the one in the movie (not with the tongue out, though!) They didn’t reject it.
I really love and look forward for couple that always responded positively whatever we asked them to pose J. We are sorry for keep extending the photo location and shouting “One More Shoot please!” – honestly we cannot get enough of you both.

This is what I like about my job as photographer. I like to play. I love being creative. I love to take risks (as long as I get my shots). It’s the only time I truly feel alive. I get so much out of this.

Hello world and welcome to my first blog in 2012! I know it is a little bit too late, but let me quickly say Happy New Year to all of you, I wish you all a very fabulous and joyful year ahead.

This time, I’d like to share with you my favorite shots during 2011. Some of them are taken from 2010 that still in my favorite list. It is quite a pain for me to pick these pictures among thousands of photo I have shot. Not because I have shot ‘crap; photos, but it is because I have lots of awesome photos.. *lol* J. Truly, it is such a proud moment to look back the whole year to reflect of what I have achieved.

I have known Reza and Sianny for quite some time before. I know them from my work colleagues.

They are really fun couple to hang out with. That’s why we chose Luna park for the location as it suits with their personality.We had a fun session on that day, it was blue sky and sunny day.

I felt so happy for their wedding as I can see how Reza really loves Sianny as his soulmate.

Reza really took care Sianny in many ways. Where Sianny’s carefree personality cheers up Reza all the time. It works like a charm…

Howdy and welcome to my second blog on the new home of Foto Expression blog. This time I would like to share my first wedding anniversary in Bali recently. If you have read my previous blog, I mentioned that this year I had a great opportunity to shoot my first destination wedding outside my comfort zone, it is in Bali! The other thing that excites me was the wedding day happened one day before our first anniversary. What a coincidence!

Bali, for some reason has special place in our heart. I tried to ‘google’ around and found this statement that best illustrates the magical of Bali.  Here it is: Bali, known as Island of God, with its varied landscape of hills and mountains, rugged coastlines and sandy beaches, lush rice terraces and barren volcanic hillsides all providing a picturesque backdrop to its colourful, deeply spiritual and unique culture, stakes a serious claim to be paradise on earth (quoted from Wikitravel). For those that have ever experienced the hospitality of Balinese, you may agree with above.  If you have not, lets check out some of my photos to truly show the magical of this little paradise.

Back to the topic, when I knew that my client finally decided to book us as their photographer (YAY!!), the first thing on my mind (apart from the wedding itself) was WHERE to celebrate our anniversary?? There are lots and lots of nice and fancy restaurants in Bali, from no star until Michelin rated. However, since this is our first year celebration, I want this to be rather special. So I searched and asked around and finally decided to celebrate at Tirtha.

Tirtha, this venue called, is located on the top of Uluwatu cliff, with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. We held our wedding in Tirtha Luhur one year ago, on the 13^th November 2010. With the help from Andi (our wedding assistant from Tirtha Bridal) and thanks that no one actually got married in this place on that day, we were allowed to celebrate our first anniversary day here.

As soon as we stepped into the villa, we feel a magical tingle going through our body. Not to mention the luscious scent of the area go through every bit of our breath! The surroundings of the area are absolutely beautiful, and they just bring old good memories happened in this place a year ago. We were seated in the gazebo facing the Indian Ocean, next to the chapel. The decoration, the foods and the ambient were romantic. The night was so perfect (thanks God for not giving us rain on that night!) that we couldn’t ask for more. We enjoyed every minute as the time passed by. To sum up (otherwise I won’t stop!), we had a fabulous time; a memorable anniversary night in this place. We will definitely come back again!
