I have been wanting to blog this couple for quite some time now, but I intentionally wait for Valentine’s day 
. Read through, and you’ll know why this post deserves to be Valentine’s special edition. I have to say, this couple’s wedding is my highlight wedding of 2011 – simply because they are super uber cool couple, with a romantic proposal story that is to-die-for. When I first met them, one thing was clear, they will not settle for second best for their wedding day documentary. And when I heard about how Matt proposed to Jen, I think it is appropriate to use the words THE BEST to describe this couple!! If you’ve been following our blogs/posts on Facebook, yes, this is the couple with a radio proposal via 106.5 Mix FM.
We recreated their proposal story into a Save The Date movie (check it out here). Long story cut short, it took Matt 5 months to prepare for the epic proposal. He tricked Jenny into believing that he got awarded employee of the month, and a massage voucher as a reward that he passed on to Jen (knowing that Jen loves massages). While having her massage, a pre-recorded call from Matt to Richard Mercer, the Love God, airing Matt’s voice asking Jen to marry her. Matt sneaked into the room, and got down on one knee. Matt planned for every single details, to make sure the day was as perfect as it could be for Jen.
Matt & Jen definitely put a lot of effort into their wedding, they will do absolutely anything to make their wedding super amazing!! We love their vibrant personalities, their enthusiasm, and their never-ending energy. Whatever we tell them to do, they have no hesitation to make it happens – that just goes to show how committed they are into creating great memories. We got to meet their families, they are loud and funky, a bunch of awesome people, we just lovee every single one of them!! As if planning for a wedding is not stressful enough, Matt & Jen were truly tested when their venue cancelled their booking three weeks before the big day!! But they marched on, and in the end, it was quite a magical day with the most perfect weather, full on entertainment in the reception with Opera House as a backdrop, and the night was completed by one of the best Same Day Edit presentation we ever produced!
This was also the first wedding where I was chosen as the main photographer and my husband Wiki Lee as the cinematographer from the BIG Films – we made a great team, as always.
Matt & Jen, we couldn’t thank you enough for letting us be part of your special day, for having full trust on us, and for being the most awesome couple ever!! We are truly honoured!!
